Saint-Germain-des-Prés is actually one of the four administrative quarters of the 6th arrondissement of Paris. It's located around the church of the former Abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. The River Seine on the north, the rue des Saint-Prés on the west, between the rue de Seine and the Mazarine on the east, and the rue du Four on the south are its official borders.

There're several popular cafes on the quarter. For example there's, Les Deux Magots, Café de Flore, le Procope and thé Brasserrie Lipp. Also, there's a lot of bookstores and publishing houses.

École des Beaux-Arts, that's the famous school of fine arts, is also located in this quarter. So is Musée national Eugéne Delacroix, which is in the former apartment and studio of painter Eugéne Delacroix.

Saint-Germain des Prés

Because of the weather season between winter and spring, people had overcoats and jackets on. What catches ones eyes was yellowish, beige and earthy colored clothing on people in this quarter. Often you'd see men and women combine dark colored overcoats with these colors of accessories and/or pants. Some would have a hat, colored shoes or sneaks to spice up their outfit.

There's a lot of luxury stores on Saint-Germain-des-Prés street. The popular parisians for one; Coco Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Masion Margiela, Berluti, Hermès and Sonia Rykiel. There are also other luxury clothing stores, such as Karl Lagerfeld and Zadig & Voltaire.

The boutiques are so incredibly decorated, and the interior is unique and chic. There's several other stores that are popular and located in the same area. You'd find Heyraud, a shoe and bag store for men and women, Tila March, Liu-Jo, a women clothing store, intimissimi a lingerie store and so on.
